Tom Tovarnak, Financial Compliance Officer

Service & Healthcare Leadership

Tom is a proud U.S. Army veteran with more than 30 years of healthcare experience. He began his career as a Combat Medical Specialist during the Cold War era, developing a lifelong commitment to service. After leaving the military, he continued serving his Ohio community as a Volunteer Firefighter, Paramedic, and Certified Surgical Technician, frequently stepping into leadership roles. 

Professional Impact & Service

Transitioning into healthcare recruitment, Tom dedicated his career to improving lives through access, advocacy, and connection. His global experiences and frontline background provide a broad perspective that strengthens the work he does with healthcare professionals and the communities they serve. 

Advocacy, Education & Community

As a member of the Veterans Mental Health Council, Tom focuses on educating veterans and their families to advocate for their mental health rights. He also volunteers with organizations including the Special Olympics, breast cancer awareness initiatives, and literacy programs. Tom and his wife, Tracey, have been married for over 25 years and are the proud parents of two adult children, Katie and Jordan.
