What We Do

Resource navigation and support for families, friends, and communities after a veteran suicide loss. VMHC helps survivors find grief resources, understand next steps, and connect with appropriate support during the days and weeks after loss.

  • Suicide prevention education
  • Safe storage conversations and materials
  • Warning sign education for families and community members
  • Outreach at veteran events, community events, and partner organizations

Volunteer Opportunities

Postvention volunteers help families, friends, and communities after a veteran suicide loss by providing resource packets, grief support referrals, follow-up outreach, and connection to appropriate support without providing counseling or crisis response.
