Barb is a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who served during Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. One of her most meaningful honors was serving in the Air Force Honor Guard, carrying the flag into the 2006 Super Bowl—an experience that deepened her lifelong commitment to serving veterans.
A devoted wife and mother of three, Barb is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers at her local senior center, assisting in the dining room and leading exercise classes, and brings that same energy to her personal passions, including axe throwing, quilting, gardening, and concert dates with her husband.
A strong mental health advocate with lived experience, Barb believes mental and physical health are inseparable and that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their best life. As a member of the Veterans Mental Health Council, she channels her compassion, leadership, and service-driven mindset into supporting veterans and strengthening the communities she serves.
